Background: The workshop brought together people who had been involved in cross-cultural training or in teaching about Koori issues and Koori health to health professionals and students. Kooris who were interested in getting involved in this kind of work for the first time also attended. Thirty-one people attended the workshop.

The aims of the workshop were: to give people an opportunity to share their ideas and their teaching experiences; to hear about some of the new developments in teaching about Koori issues to trainee doctors and health students and possible areas to get involved in; to identify ways of being better supported in teaching, and to discuss future training needs and possible future projects.
