The words ‘Yaitya Purruna’ are from the Kaurna language of the Adelaide Plains People meaning ‘Our Own Health and Wellbeing’. Yaitya Purruna is part of the School of Population Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences, and its provision of support is for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying in this Faculty.

The Unit provides:

  • Indigenous Student support services in the Faculty, collaboration with Wirltu Yarlu Aboriginal Education
  • Research & Learning & Teaching within the School of Population Health
  • Community engagement as part of the Faculty of Health Sciences
